Scherezade ha estado involucrada en las artes desde pequeña. Sus dibujos son sus memorias. Estos dibujos son interpretaciones visuales de sus alrededores, por ejemplo, sonidos y movimientos de la vida cotidiana.

Desde muy joven, ella mostró un gran talento como artista, por lo cual sus padres la inscribieron en una escuela de arte. Fue muy afortunada de estudiar bajo la tutela de dos artistas muy especiales y talentosos, Don Elías Delgado y Nidia Serra.

Scherezade, nació en la República Dominicana (Oct 1966). Ha vivido en la ciudad de Nueva York desde que fue a estudiar allí en 1986. Su trabajo, frecuentemente evoca memorias de su antiguo hogar y las esperanzas y sueños que conlleva establecerse en una nueva tierra.

1994 - Selected artist by The Hispanic Heritage Committee for The City of New York to develop three posters for the celebration of Hispanic Heritage Month. The original paintings were
unveiled at The New York City Public Library by Mayor Mario Cuomo.

mixed media piece, title “The Green Wall”, was chosen to represent the exhibition, titled “In Response; Summer Projects”. She also will be exhibiting at District & Co, this coming August.
